Available positions include:
Senior Software Developer
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned developer to join a growing team. Applicants must have experience building scalable backend architectures for data-intensive commercial websites, including:
- Senior/Lead J2EE developer with 5+ years experience in Servlets, JDBC, JMS or similar technologies
- Database experience, experience performance tuning application code and SQL query optimization
- Experience with message based application design
- Experienced in highly scalable, high performance, high available architecture
- Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in Java, Ruby on Rails, or other object-oriented web frameworks
- Ruby on Rails experience, especially using JRuby
- Experience with leading application servers, JBoss, Glassfish etc.
- Solid object-oriented design, programming, and debugging skills
- Experience designing public web service APIs
Product Intern
Responsibilities:
- Content Review - Review user-generated video content to enforce community rules
- Conduct competitive research and report on trends and news in personal media (photo, video) sharing
- Provide support to and customer service to Motionbox users
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma and be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Extremely web savvy spend lots of time on social networking sites, have a blog, share photos and/or video online, etc
- Have a real passion for new media and technologies.
- Have strong interpersonal skills. Play nice with others. Be patient, flexible, curious, and willing to learn
- Know your way around Macs and PCs as well as web related programs and technologies.
- Basic HTML skills are a plus, but not required. Experience in video is also a plus
