What is video encoding (processing)?
Video encoding is the process of preparing your video for output. Your video is encoded to meet proper formats and specifications for playback through the use of video encoder software. On the Motionbox site, we’ll often use the term “processing” to mean the same thing.
Normally, videos straight off your camera or camcoder will be of very high quality and fairly large. We have to compress each video on Motionbox in order to optimize it for playback so that it can be successfully played on many different types of computers and with different internet connections.
